Let’s all happy dance for Day five! Out of the slump and over the hump! Day five parameters were as follows:
Fowl and Tomatoes – Chicken, Turkey and 6 tomatoes throughout the day. Make sure you drink a glass of water for each tomato you eat to wash the uric acid out of your body.
Here’s Day 5 check ins!
Me:
I was SO happy to have chicken to eat! After coming off banana and yogurt day, it felt like a huge treat. I was also surprised at how long I stayed full after eating chicken. For this day, I had to sub tomatoes with cucumbers, because I can’t eat raw tomatoes (food intolerance).
In the morning, I had two chicken breasts and a cucumber around 8AM, and I wasn’t interested in eating again until mid-afternoon. At that time, I had one chicken breast and one cucumber. For supper, I made wraps for the family, and I had two chicken breasts shredded with raw spinach and crushed jalapenos (so I pushed the envelope a bit) and yes, ANOTHER cucumber. Drinks for me stayed the same…. Coffee and water.
Here’s what our other participant had to say about Day 5:
“Chicken & Veggies was amazing! I had boneless skinless chicken at 5:30am! I was desperate for meat.
My day was busy, so I skipped lunch – but I snacked all day on raw veggies ( I don’t eat tomatoes – at all) – carrots, cucumber, broccoli and celery mostly. Supper was a frozen veggie mix with another boneless skinless chicken breast. I was exhausted, so the 2 celery sticks I had in the evening are hardly worth mentioning. My water intake was good, but I did have a café mocha around 8am, and had 4 black coffee…like I said – long day!”
How did Day 6 go? Check in tomorrow to find out!
