Day One of the "New Year New You" cleanse was fruit. Instructions were "Fruit Day - Eat all the fruits you want, except bananas. The lowest calorie fruits are watermelon and cantaloupe, so if you eat mostly melons you will lose more weight." Fruits   Currently, there are two of us here at Belmont who are participating in this seven day cleanse, so I'm asking for her feedback as well. Her day one reflection was that she found it easier than she thought it would be! She ate her fruit all day long with no issues at all.  

As for me... I did the same, I ate fruit all day long and I didn't cheat once. The fruits that I ate were melon, cantaloupe, pineapple and strawberries. However, I didn't find it as easy as she did! I find the most challenging thing for me on fruit only days is that because I'm not eating anything hot I never feel like I'm really eating a meal but just snacking all day. I also had to pick my son up from Truro and of course he wanted to stop and grab something to eat... and I wanted to get a burger SO BAD, but I kept on track. The only way I kept on track was that we weighed ourselves before we started this seven day cleanse, and we are weighing ourselves at the end of it... and I knew that weigh-in was going to be happening and I didn't want to do anything to mess up my results!

But, at the end of the day, we both made it! For anyone who might be interested in doing this seven day eating plan on your own time, the information that we originally posted on it is below! "New Year New You" Cleanse Diet
