You can read what Day 5 is about here Day 5 Parameters:  Fowl and Tomatoes – Chicken, Turkey and 6 tomatoes throughout the day. Make sure you drink a glass of water for each tomato you eat to wash the uric acid out of your body.

Day 5 reflections:  So let me first pre-empt this by saying that I had to modify this day, because I really don’t like tomatoes. At all. And I knew if I tried to make it through an entire day with just chicken and tomatoes I would fail miserably. So my modification was chicken and vegetables, which went fine. There’s a lot of things that can be done with chicken and vegetables so I didn’t really feel like I was following some sort of “meal plan”.

Also, in the morning I substituted turkey for an egg white (after researching the you know what out of it to make sure this wasn’t going to be cheating and that nutrional-wise and calorie wise they were comparable!) I’ve found that some of my food cravings are changing… for instance, now that I’m not able to have fruit I’ve been craving cantaloupe and watermelon! “Heavier” foods have no appeal to me lately… so I’m really hoping this is something that will stick with me after this detox!

The easiest part of today: Chicken and vegetables is right in line with what I like, so I was happy! The hardest part of today:  Honestly I didn’t find anything about today challenging!
