This week’s Balance Your Life™ tip talks about how you can be a healthier person by minimizing the toxins in your life.
OK be honest… when you read that opening sentence, how many of you immediately thought of food toxins? While those are important to remove from your diet as well, the toxins that I am talking about are the toxic people in your life.
You know who they are: the ones who always seem to be complaining about something. The people who never seem to be happy. The ones who are negative and whine, gossip about others, and just overall seem to have a negative outlook on life. It’s very unfortunate to the people who live their lives like this, because they are missing out on so much joy. The only way they can change, however, is by fixing themselves. One of the hardest lessons to learn is that there is nothing you can do to fix them… ultimately, they just bring you down with them.
This really is a situation where your only option is to save yourself. If you can’t completely cut these people out of your life, do your very best to minimize the exposure, and make it a point to surround yourself with positive, supportive, “can-do” people whenever you can!
