Balance Your Life™ Tip: You Time

NEW to Belmont Health & Wealth: Bi-weekly we will be offering tips to help you Balance Your Life™! This is something that, as a company, Belmont has a strong belief in and we do truly believe that anyone, regardless of where you work or who you work for, can utilize at least some ideas to strike a better balance. At the end of the day, all of us want the time to enjoy the things in life we are working so hard for!

This week’s Balance Your Life™ tip focuses on dedicating one day a week to yourself and those special people who are a part of your life. It’s very easy during the week to get caught up in the craziness that we all experience time and again, but it’s also important to take at least one day a week to walk away from all of that and focus on things that make us happy and relaxed. If your job affords you the opportunity to set the same day each week to break from work that’s ideal, but this isn’t a luxury that everyone has. As long as you schedule a day, in advance, even if it has to change each week, you can still reap the benefits of a work-free day. Take your kids to the park, go for a drive along the coast, lay in a hammock and read, visit friends and family you haven’t seen for a while, or sleep! The majority of us don’t get enough sleep on average so even taking the day to nap is a great idea!

Unplugging from work for a day allows all of us to re-center and re-charge, so we can step back into things with a clear perspective and ready to work hard and get the job done.
