Tips for Balancing Your Life

This week’s Balance Your Life™ tip: Get a Hobby!  Too often in our lives our jobs, adult responsibilities and schedules take us away from the things we truly enjoy doing... things we may have done when we were younger. Did you used to enjoy sketching a lot? Building things? Reading? There’s no reason why you can’t set aside time for these activities now. Being involved in a hobby we enjoy gives us the time we need to just focus on ourselves. If you didn’t really have a hobby before, there’s no time like the present to find one! Do you like getting out in nature? Invest in a decent camera and take some pictures on the way, and make it a photo walk! (Believe it or not, not all cameras are on phones).  Another great hiking idea is to get into geocaching. (you can learn about it here:  https://www.geocaching.com/play ) Hook up with a buddy and start playing golf or racquetball regularly. Even if you set aside a weekly visit with a friend for coffee, it can do wonders to alleviate stress. By taking the time to do the things we enjoy, it makes us that much more refreshed and ready to take on anything that comes our way!
