Numerous articles have been written about ways to boost your self-confidence, lift your spirits and help gain positive feelings about yourself. Believe it or not, attaining these feelings could be as simple as taking two minutes out of your morning. Be a Super Hero!
Now, you don’t have to don a cape and jump out of a window, or wait for a bat signal. It’s as easy as striking a pose. You know the pose I’m talking about: feet a little more than shoulder width apart, shoulders back and straight, hands balled into fists and lightly resting on your sides by your waistline, chest puffed out and head held high. (Pretty sure Superman perfected the art of the superhero stance!)
Studies have shown that repositioning your body helps to reposition your thoughts and feelings: basically, if you exude confidence you will be confident! In the morning, find a quiet place and stand like a superhero for two minutes… breathe slowly and deeply, and think about accomplishing something big in your life. Visualizing something positive, whether it be a life event or an action that you do yourself, helps to speed up the positive feelings you will feel.
Give this a try every morning for 21 days, and see how you feel. You may be surprised to discover you feel ready to take on the world!
